Privacy Policy

The short version. This site sets no cookies and loads no tracking unless you say yes. Our server keeps ordinary access logs, as every web server does, and we count visits from those. There is no account to create and no form that stores anything: the early-access button opens your own email app, so the only personal data we ever hold is what you chose to send us.

2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the public website at dvlepr.com, including its blog. It does not cover the Bizheart platform, any application built on Dvl'epr, or any customer environment we host — those are governed by the agreement covering that service, and the customer is usually the data controller for the data inside their own application.
3. What we collect
Information you send us
The early-access form asks for your name, your role, your email address, your company name and company website, and optionally a company address, along with a note about what you would like to build. We ask for these so we know who we are talking to.
Nothing is submitted to this website and nothing is stored here. The form composes a message in your own email application, which reaches us only if you choose to send it — you can read and change it first, or not send it at all. If you do send it, we hold what you wrote, in our mailbox, in order to reply. The same applies if you email us directly.
Analytics — only if you accept
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Clarity records your session, which can include the pages you view, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It sets cookies in your browser. If you decline, or ignore the banner, Clarity is never loaded and none of this happens.
We use this only in aggregate, to see which parts of the site people actually read and where they get stuck. This site is still being developed, and that is how we decide what to improve next — it is the whole reason we ask. We do not use it to identify individuals, and we do not combine it with anything else.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs, which record the IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. Every web server does this, and it happens whatever you choose about cookies.
We use them for two things: keeping the site running and secure — diagnosing faults and identifying abuse — and producing simple visit statistics, such as how many people read a page and which site they arrived from. Those statistics are aggregate counts. We do not use the logs to identify individuals, build a profile of anyone, or target advertising, and we do not share them with anyone else.
What we never collect
We do not ask for or store payment details, account credentials, or any special category data on this website. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel, and no third-party marketing tag.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
On a first visit this site sets no cookies at all. The banner asks whether you are willing to accept analytics cookies.
- If you accept — Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies to recognise a returning session. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
- If you decline — no analytics cookies are set and nothing is loaded from Clarity.
Either way, we store your choice in your browser's local storage so the banner does not ask again. That is first-party, stays on your device, is never sent to us, and exists only to honour the choice you made.
You can change your mind at any time: reopen the cookie choice, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
5. Fonts
This site's typefaces are served from this site. Your browser does not request anything from a font service, so no third party learns that you visited, and there is nothing here for you to block.
6. Our legal basis for using your data
Under UK GDPR we rely on:
- Consent — for analytics cookies and session recording. You give it by choosing Accept, and can withdraw it at any time using the link above.
- Legitimate interests — for server logs, in order to keep the site available and secure and to produce aggregate visit statistics. We consider this to have a minimal effect on your privacy: the statistics are counts, no one is identified or profiled, and nothing leaves us.
- Legitimate interests — for replying to an email you sent us, because you contacted us and expect an answer.
7. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Data reaches these third parties only as described above:
- Microsoft — Clarity analytics, and only if you accepted.
- Google — font delivery, as described in section 5.
This site runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves, so server logs are not handed to a third-party hosting company.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
8. International transfers
Microsoft and Google are global providers and may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Both operate under transfer mechanisms recognised by UK law, such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
9. How long we keep it
- Emails you send us — kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. If you ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, we will.
- Clarity data — retained by Microsoft under its own schedule, which is currently around 30 days for recordings.
- Server logs — kept only as long as they are needed to keep the site secure, diagnose faults and compile visit statistics, and deleted on a routine rotation.
10. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; to have it corrected or deleted; to restrict or object to how we use it; to receive it in a portable form; and to withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, email hello@dvlepr.com. We will respond within one month. In practice we hold very little: unless you have emailed us, we almost certainly hold nothing about you at all.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
11. Children
This site is aimed at professional software developers and businesses. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data about them.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting analytics will also reset the cookie banner, so you can make the choice again.
